Swing Bout is an electrifying crime thriller set backstage at a major boxing event, tracing Toni Gale’s tumultuous journey from the dressing room to her ring walk during a night of deceit, betrayal, and life-altering decisions.
A self-contained, Irish-authored feature film written and directed by Maurice O’Carroll and produced by Sinéad O’Riordan, the film stars UK actress Ciara Berkeley as a young boxer pressured to throw a high-profile fight. As the clock ticks toward the opening bell, we follow Toni through a taut, white-knuckle ride that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats.

Sinéad is an award-winning Irish actress, producer and founder of ORion Productions. She holds an Honours Degree in Engineering (Electronic), an Associate Recital Diploma from LAMDA and a Post Graduate Diploma (Advanced Producing) from TU Dublin in association with Screen Ireland.
She founded ORion Productions with a view to initially creating her own work and then branched into producing numerous short films, music videos, feature films and web series.

Maurice O’Carroll

Maurice O Carroll is a multi-award-winning writer/director and graduate of Screen Ireland’s prestigious Advanced Producers programme.
He recently directed and post-produced the Screen Ireland-funded short Conversations with my Dead Father which earned him an Aer Discovery Lingus nomination at the Dublin International Film Festival, won BEST IN CORK at Fastnet Film Festival 2022 and for which he also won Best Director at the Beara Film Festival.
